EICR - Electrical Installation Condition Report

A qualified electrician conducts an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) to assess the safety of a property's electrical installations. This report checks the condition of wiring, sockets, fuse boxes, and connected devices to ensure they meet safety standards and do not pose any risks.

Electricians recommend performing EICRs at specific intervals depending on the property type:

  • Tenanted properties: Every 5 years or at each tenancy change.

  • Homeowners: Every 10 years.

  • Commercial properties: Every 5 years.

Regular inspections help prevent electrical accidents, maintain safety, and ensure compliance with legal standards.
